Name: Michelle Celes Brun

Age: 15
Height: 5'0 / 152cm
Weight: 101lbs / 45kg
Country of Origin: Seychelles
Family: N/A
Year: Freshman
Appearance: The most distinguishable on Michelle would be her skin tone, but that's only because she's in a country where it's not common. She’s a natural pretty bronzed color that looks like she bathes in the sun daily. She is a child of the sun, so her skin tone is a blessing or else she’d be red all the time. Her height could be considered a characteristic since she’s extremely short. She’s pocket-size, which frustrates her to no end. If she could, she’d weight high heeled stilettos to everything, but she’s rather uncoordinated and could never keep her balance in such shoes. She doesn’t have any tattoos or piercing. She has no real distinct moles that if you put her side by side with other girls she could be picked from a line-up of other dark skinned girls. Michelle is just a rather plain girl.
Personality: To describe Michelle is to describe the small country of Seychelles. She is small but welcoming. She is hardworking even though a tropical island paradise such as Seychelles is meant for relaxing. And while it might seem a little odd for something so small to have such a big heart, it’s true.
The first thing people notice about Michelle (besides how short she is) is that she’s a rather friendly and outgoing girl. She likes to make friends; it makes her happy. She doesn’t see the point in being reserve or cautious around strangers. Doing such things could lead to missed opportunities of friendship. She’s the first person to greet people in the morning, and she always more than willing to jump into action if people need help. She’ll talk until her tongue goes numb, especially if a person’s feeling down. And she’ll be as quiet as a mouse if a person needs someone to listen as they talk to about their problems. She’s empathetic. Her heart is filled with compassion for just about anyone. She wants to help, and if you let her, she will help until it hurts. And there’s a chance she’ll keep trying to help. She doesn’t want anyone to suffer, ever. If anything, she wants the world to be happy. If happiness was sparing and could only be given to two people, she would chose the person offering the gift of happiness and the person closes to him over herself.
She’s the giving type though it’s actually more problematic than helpful. She likes to give, but it doesn’t mean the things she gives are useful. If a person wanted food, she’d cook but the food she cooked wouldn't necessarily be edible. If someone asked for the shirt off her back, she’d give that up too, but more than likely it wouldn’t fit. When a bum has a homeless sign on the street corner, she wants to put that man in a hotel. There are people around her to keep her from going crazy with selfless acts. There’s a thing called being too nice, but she doesn’t understand the concept. She feels she needs to treat others as she wishes to be treated. That doesn’t always work in the world. She gets used and abused, but sometimes people tell her it’s in the name of friendship. She’s a sucker for believing it. She’s not so dumb that she can’t see it, but she hopes that her niceness will make them happy. And if they’re happy, in turn it might make someone else happy. And if the cycle of happy continues, she might eventually get since kindness returned. Really, it’s just a small step in trying to make the world a better place.
But even the ultimate giver has her limits. She’s a lawful person, so she wouldn’t be doing things that could get her arrested to appease others. Laws were created for the greater good and she believes in that greater good talk. She doesn’t walk on the grass where there’s signs saying not to walk on the grass. She rarely says obscenities though it does happen on extreme occasions. She usually apologizes for her lewdness if she does. She tries to be the example of a good citizen.
Being friendly and law abiding doesn’t make her perfect. She lies. She lies blatantly from time to time. She’s a terrible liar. She can’t look anyone in the eyes when she lies and she sometimes mumbles. It’s fairly easy to catch her in a lie. She realizes this but she still lies. Everyone lies after all. She’s a bit silly; silly as in impractical. She tries to do the impossible, which is a set up for failure for her. Her ideas are sometimes grounded in fantasy more than reality. Trying to make friends with everyone on the planet is a prime example of such an unlikely goal. She sometimes does thing the hard way because it sounds easier in her head. She’s the type to carry one item at a time rather than get a bag so she can carry them all. It just seems easier to her and her illogical mind.
She dislikes loneliness. She almost fears it. She’s aware that not everyone will like her, but she hopes that she can at least be allowed to be near people who don’t particular care for her. She’s not someone that can handle being for herself for long periods of times. Sleeping by herself is sometimes rather troublesome because it means she’ll wake up alone. Pets help sooth her uneasiness, but it wasn’t like she could bring something to school. Moments where she’s supposed to go in her room and study bother her unless someone will be with her. She’d rather not study at all, but that’s a different story entirely. She had a need to be around people. She’s not someone who would survive isolation.
She’s unfocused and self indulgent. If there’s no one there to make her stop eating, she’d eat herself out of house and home. Luckily, she can’t cook or it might be a realistic problem. She doesn’t stay on one task, not that she can multitask. She just can’t stay focused. Michelle distracts easily. Bright lights. Pretty colors. Music. Someone saying her name. A cat meowing. These are all things that can instantly distract her. And she’s not an organized person either. It's a controlled mess in her mind, though she does lose things too often since she forgets where she puts things. Nothing has a set place in her world. Sometimes the television remote should be on a coffee table. Other times it’ll be lonely there so it should be in a drawer with the socks. Sometimes socks need to go play with stuffed animals. And other times everyone should be in the kitchen so they can all eat cookies. It makes no sense, but Michelle doesn’t always make sense.
But she will fight about her ideas being right. She’s stubborn like that. She can take orders, direction, and even criticism, but she’s still stubborn about things. She gets frustrated when things don’t go the way she assumed. She gets frustrated when people pick on her, even if it’s in a loving way. She gets frustrated if she can’t do things herself and she has to rely on someone else. And since she can’t do too many things alone, she does find herself frustrated a lot. She smiles, but she can still be frustrated under that smile. But when she’s passed the point of frustration, she making faces that look like fish. But overall, Michelle is simple. She simply wants to be happy and have everyone around her happy. She smiles because a smile is contagious.

History: Michelle was born on the little island country of Seychelles in its biggest city. She was born in a hospital, not some hut. There were no magical moments of some monkey dancing and putting berry juice on her forehead even though Seychelles is an African island. There was just her mother screaming before she eventually gave birth to a crying baby girl. It was a completely normal.
She was born the daughter of Jon-Pierre and Amorette, both being of French descendant. Her father had moved to Seychelles from France because of a job opportunity as a hotel manager and her mother was a French vacationer that fell in love with that man. They married rather quickly and started an instant family. For their first five years, they gave birth to a baby boy. Three years later, they had their first daughter, Michelle.
She was a rather sweet child that adored her family. Michelle was obedience, bubbly, and energetic. Her father instantly loved her since he had always wanted a daughter. He coddled her at all times, leaving his wife to be the strict parent. Amorette was a woman with strong morals and etiquette. While she was the parent that was the voice of reason and law, she was still charmed by her daughter’s cute ways. Since Michelle was so obedient, there weren’t too many problems between them. Amorette would always calmly remind her daughter to use her manners, and Michelle would happily agree. Growing up as the only girl in a house full of boys was pretty simple since they were all so much older. For the most part, her brothers were either confused on things they were supposed to play with a weak girl. Luckily, Michelle was good at suggesting rather odd things. It led to all the boys in her family to have ribbons in their hair at one point and several tea parties.
Overall, she had a loving household she was more than happy to be a part of. It was why it was so hard when her brothers started getting older and leaving the house. When she was eleven, they all started leaving. She had never done well with being left behind or alone, so she didn’t know how to handle it. With each year, they left to either go into the military to defend the country they loved from dangers like pirates, or to go to college abroad. By her thirteenth birthday, she was the only child left in the house. There were no big brothers to run to when she got scared. There was no one’s bed to sneak into. She felt lonely for the first time and she didn’t like loneliness. Her newfound loneliness was very apparent. And while her father tried coddling her more, there was only so much attention he could give her.
When a natural disaster hit the island at the age of fourteen, she was sent to France to live with a relative as her parents participated in the tsunami cleanup effort. Her brothers and parents visited her occasionally, but she always seemed lonely when not at school since her aunt wasn’t too affectionate. By her fifteenth birthday, Seychelles was close to being back to normal and she returned home. Eventually her father appeared telling her that she had gotten a scholarship to a school in England, which he suggested she got to. He wished for her to gain some independence. Since it was her parent’s wish for her to go to school there, Michelle agreed though secretly apprehensive. She had just returned home and now she would be sent off to be completely alone in England. But regardless of her feelings, she went in hopes it would make her parents happy.

Likes:
Eating
It pretty self explanatory. She likes to eat food. As long as it’s delicious, she’s happy to try it. If it even looks like it could be delicious, she won’t object. Food is essential in life and she’s willing to inhale it all!
Coconut Flavored Things
More things about eating… She likes the flavor of coconut. It’s something that reminds her of home. Besides, it’s pretty sweet and taste. It goes great in tea.
Desserts
If it’s not apparent, Michelle really likes food. She likes eating, but she really likes to eat sweet things. Desserts are sweet, and more importantly they’re usually pretty too. Every girl likes to see pretty cakes and likes even more to devour them.
Sleeping
In her heart of hearts, she’s a lazy girl. She’d happily live her life lazing about all day in some hammock on some beach. But seeing how that’s not a possibility, she settles for sleeping, cat naps, and snuggling up to friends with her eyes closed trying to doze off.
Friends
Michelle is friendly. She’s almost too friendly. Once she considers someone a friend, she wants to spend time with them. Relationships are important to maintain, and the way to do this is by spending quality time. After all, you’re a true friend if you’re always by their side.
Beaches
It’s in her blood to like beaches. She’s an island girl. Being from an island means there’s nothing but beaches. They’re picturesque, relaxing, and fun places to be. They’re even romantic; it’s why people say they like moonlight strolls on the beach.
Sunshine
The sun is great. Without it, life would be pretty boring and the weather would be terribly cold. While she may like to nap, she likes napping better if she can do it in the sun. It’s like nature’s blanket. Sunbathing is always pretty fun even though it doesn’t really do much for a naturally bronzed complex. Besides, less bad things happy during daytime.
Music
Music is wonderful. It has the ability to sooth the soul. At times, everyone’s soul needs a little soothing, some more than others. She’s rather into classical music where she can try to single out each individual sound. She also likes music with soft vocal, especially when it’s songs of love or lost love.
Swimming
Swimming is fun and relaxing. It’s a good way to clear the mind. She has an affinity for the water, so swimming comes rather naturally. She just enjoys doing it.
Girly Things
Girls like pretty things. They like soft things. They like cute soft snugly things they can snuggle to like puppies and stuffed animals. She likes all these things. She wears dresses. She puts pretty ribbons in her hair. She will happily jump into a pile of feathers just for the softness and to watch it rain feathers. She’s feminine and likes to be feminine.
Dislikes:
Being Teased/Bullied
She’s a bit of a crybaby, so it’s only logical she doesn’t like to be teased. She’s small and pretty frail so it’s not hard to be overpowered. Most people really aren’t out to get her because of her personality, but she hates to see others bullied as well. She’s quite quick to stand up for the weak even though she’s weak herself. But just because she stands up for someone doesn't mean it works out for her.
Snow/Cold Weather
She doesn’t like the cold. It’s cold. She’s a child of the sun. She doesn’t thrive when there’s snow falling from the sky. It makes her miserable. Cold weather usually makes people sick. It’s just all types of bad.
Being Tardy
No sane person is fond of being late. It happens sometimes, but it’s still quite rude. Of all the things Michelle is, she is not rude. She strives her best to always be a kind and caring person. But, she likes sleeps. Sometimes liking sleep causes her to oversleep. When she does, she rushes since she doesn’t want to be late for any type of an appointment.
Burning Smell
There’s something unpleasant about burn smells. When food gets burnt, it smells bad. When wood burnt in fireplace, it smelled odd. When hair burns, it smells absolutely disgusting! It’s just something bad about the smell of things burning. She dislikes that smell.
Gloves
There’s something unnatural about having to touch things while wearing gloves. The fact you’re holding something without feeling it unnerves her. She has a difficult time doing something things in gloves. It’s like her brain doesn’t want to acknowledge she’s trying to do certain things with gloves on. She can’t play any instrument with gloves on. She can’t draw with gloves on. She has an extremely hard time opening doors with those things on.
Doctors
Doctors are good. They help people, or at least they’re supposed to help people. But anyone who’s had to stay in a hospital as a child usually doesn’t like them. Michelle is no different. After going to the doctor a few times due to injuries, she developed almost a fear of them. She doesn’t care for them in the slightest. They probably have some creepy fetish about making people lie down so they can stick needles in their patients. Doctors are just bad news.
Strengths:
Attentive
Michelle pays close attention to things. She notices the weirdest details. Granted, her memory sometimes is a bit weird and she’ll remember the color of the plate of the last thing she ate instantly but not necessarily what she ate since sometimes important things slip her mind. She listens well. When people talk, she pretty much repeats every word within her head. She also acts out weird scenarios in her mind before answering. She doesn’t want miss anything or leave a bad impression, so it’s imperative to pay such close attention.
Optimistic
No matter what, she always looks for the optimistic side of things; being a pessimist will never solve a thing! Michelle likes to think everything will eventually work themselves out no matter what. To think that only bad things will happen is a bit depressing. She doesn’t understand a pessimist’s view. Why would you wish for bad things to happen? Regardless of how bad things look, they will get better. Some days must be dark and gloomy for you really to appreciate how bright the sun shines. And it always shines its brightest after a little rain.
Passionate
She’s a passionate person. Whatever Michelle sets off to do, she puts her heart and soul into accomplishing that goal. It really doesn’t matter how big or small the task is. Why even do something if you’re not passionate about it? Sometimes it seems a bit beyond passion. Sometimes the girl can seemed obsessive over a little matter. She’s a bit overzealous. But she feels she also needs to do her best about anything she does. Her determination to accomplish goals is admirable even if she sometime is willing to go too far.
Energetic
If there was a way to hook a human up to a device and turn them into a living battery, Michelle could provide the world with energy for years. She’s bursting with it. Her normal state is to be overenthusiastic and ecstatic at all times. When she's excited, the joy and zealousness multiplies. She could run miles without tiring if she were to try. She could stay up for days if she didn’t have an unhealthy love for sleep. She’s just a bundle of joy in a little box waiting to explode if given a reason.
Weaknesses:
Disorangized
Michelle’s natural state is chaotic. Chaotic isn’t a necessarily bad or dangerous things, but it’s still chaotic. She comes off as a confusing girl from time to time because she’s living, breathing chaos. Her mind is an organized mess and it can be seen in many things she does. If she painted a picture simply off the top of her head, it'd be cluttered with drawing on top of drawing and splashes of color everywhere. Her room has always been considered a ground zero when it comes to messiness. Whenever trying to cook, the kitchen ends up a horrid mess filled with dirty dishes and splattered ingredients everywhere. Trying to borrow her notes is troublesome since she writes all over the page instead of on the lines and sometimes in different directions. She’s a mess but it somehow works for her.
Overindulgent
She doesn’t know when to stop. She’s not the type of person to say NO even when she knows she shouldn’t. She’ll eat until she has a stomach ache if left alone with food. She’d probably snuggle the life out of a cat if left in a room alone with it. Stopping what she likes to do doesn’t come naturally. She has an addictive personality. It’s apparently obvious when it comes to her brothers and certain friends. She needs them to be happy in order for her to be happy. She’d go through hoops like a trained animal to keep them happy without any intentions of stopping. It causes a bit of stress on her, but the addiction makes her feel happy so she can ignore the tense feelings.
Low Tolerance For Pain
She’s weak. She’s a tiny girl and is as strong as she looks. She can’t carry heavy bags up stairs. So for someone to attack her usually means she’s screwed. It’s sad but it’s life. Coupled with the fact she has an extremely low threshold for pain makes her extremely pacifistic. She doesn’t like the concept of violence to begin with so it works in her favor. She bruises easily if grabbed too hard. She’d collapse if someone slaps her back in a friendly matter with force. Essentially, Michelle is one of the weakest people in the world. She wasn’t built for fighting and never tries to. She tries not to hurt herself with her clumsy nature but she’s accident prone and not durable.
Easily Scared
She doesn’t like loud, expected sounds. She doesn’t care for creepy stories about ghosts or zombies. She doesn’t do well when someone turns off all the lights and locks her in a room. She’s an oversized scared little kid always on the verge of tears. She’s an emotional person. Usually, she can contain her sad feelings in the hopes of trying to smile them away. But Michelle can’t contain her fear. She gets scared when scary people look at her like they want to break her. She gets scared then the lights suddenly turn off or the tv shuts off. She’s even screamed because the air condition has come on because it was making a loud rattling noise. She refuses to see scary movies. They make her cry and she will hid in a friend’s chest during the majority of the movie. She’s just a big crybaby in general.
Fears:
Darkness
She’s not scared of the dark, per say. It’s just bad things happen, especially when it’s dark. At night, she likes to keep a night light on just so she can see. When out at night, she feels uncomfortable when there's no moon. Being trapped in complete darkness does cause her heart to race and her mind to wander. There's many scary things in the world always looking to jump out at you, and in the dark it's much easier.
Lightning
There’s always been something about thunderstorms that’s but her on edge. When she was little, she used to bother her brothers until one slept next to her during a storm. During the day, she hid in the closet so the lightning and thunder couldn't get her. Now that's she's moved to stormy old England, her habits didn’t change. If she were to be outside during a storm, she'd break down and cry. She doesn’t mind the rain, she hates thunder and the crackling sounds lightning make when striking. Even now, when it starts to thunder she finds shelter and sometimes hides in corners.
Loneliness/Being Abandoned
Michelle comes from a big family. Most of her life was filled with have little to no personal space. But as she grew older that all changed and then one day she was left alone as all her brothers grew up and her parents were at work. She felt left behind which was the most dreadful feeling in the world. While she was aware it was because everyone had things to do, she wasn't used to the loneliness. It was intolerable! Being left alone made her cling to her parents even more, but when she was sent away she couldn't help but feel completely abandoned. Now she goes to school where she knows no one and can't help but feel the loneliness slowly trying to creep back around her.
Having Small Breast Forever
While Michelle is still young and growing, she has a bit of a boy complex. It's mostly about her breasts. When she see her mother in bathing suits, or all the attractive tourism women that came to play in the beach, she felt extremely undeveloped. It feels like the whole world is laughing at her because she's so small and not huge like all the other girls. Not everyone has to be big, but she doesn't want to be the small for the rest of her life.

It was really tragic. That was what all her friends told her at school. It was a tragic event. A few complained how a super villain should have blown up a school instead of a mall. There were a few jokes here and there about how it was good for the mall to be destroyed because of terrible stores, but they were just jokes. In the end, what happened there was heartbreaking. She hadn’t even been in the city when it happened. Her family was flying back to World City during the attack. They had just finished vacationing if that’s what it could be called. Every other year they went to that tiny island to let her remember. It was funny how it still hurt even though she really couldn’t remember anyone’s face.
A few people she knew passed on that day, weeks ago. There was a memorial engraved with their names. She didn’t know most of the people that were in that mall that day. Lovina and Dolce weren’t there, thank goodness. They were the first people she called when she heard the news. They were her dear close friends even though she had met them during her first year of high school. Now it was winter break of her sophomore year. Instead, there had been a girl she had art with this year who didn’t make it. Her name was engraved in the memorial. The lady at the store where she brought coconut water was engraved on it. And there was a lady who had the same name as her mother on the memorial. All the other names had no connection to her. Out of all of the people who died that day, there were just two names she really knew.
And still she cried.
She was such a crybaby. Her brother would have laughed if he knew she had come here to drop of flowers. She brought pink carnations. They were supposed to mean something like I’ll never forget. She really wasn’t sure if that would be true. She forgot important faces of people she loved. She wasn’t really good at remember things. Still, she’d remember every time she came her and felt her heart ache. Was that really enough?
A few more tears fell down her cheek. She hated herself for crying. It was cold outside. There was snow falling slowly from the sky and she was silly enough to cry. The mixture of cold wind, hot tears, and freezing snow did not fell good on her face. She was pretty sure she had layered icicles on her face. When she wiped off the cold water from her face, it felt like it was stuck. She couldn’t use her powers to get them off. Since she couldn’t technically see her tears on her cheek, she couldn’t use her powers to move it from it. But she really didn’t need magical water abilities just to wipe away a few tears. Even if they were frozen tears, they could be wiped away. The bigger problem was getting herself to stop crying.
She heard someone talking behind her, which made her panic a little. She didn’t want anyone to see her cry. They had tapped off a good position of the wreckage since they hadn’t finished cleaning everything up. It hadn’t even been three weeks yet. Eventually, they’d clean it all up and rebuild. Eventually. For now, the chunks of twisted metal made a good place to hide. She didn’t want anyone to see her crying. She didn’t want to be teased right now. So what she was a cry baby. Wasn’t it appropriate at this moment?
More tears fell as she ducked under the yellow tape and tiptoed up the hill of rubble. She slid down piles of concrete and looked back to make sure she couldn’t see where the memorial was. More people were coming over there. It was a dedicated spot to pay respects, so of course she wouldn’t be the only one. Michelle sighed. At least she was free to cry all she wanted to over here and not be…
…disturbed?
Somewhere in her blurry vision, she saw someone. It was a man. She could tell that much from the bulky frame and broad shoulders. He was digging. She was pretty sure he wasn’t a part of any cleanup effort. What construction or government work would dig with their hands? The sniffling girl wiped away her tears and she walked closer. Why was he digging? She noticed a mask on the ground. It was familiar. She had seen it on the news before. She knew the name of the man it was supposed to belong to, though she was pretty sure she wasn’t supposed to be seeing his face. That was why he wore the mask. But he wasn’t wearing the mask. Curiosity made her draw near, even though she knew she wasn’t supposed to. He wore a mask after all, so it mean he never wanted people to see his face. And there she was, trying to peek. When she did see his face, it wasn’t a nice sight. He was sobbing. He was bleeding. He was hurt in so many ways that it made her want to cry and she didn’t know why. A few more tears fell and she quickly wiped them away. She needed to stop crying. Right now wasn’t the time to cry.
”Excusez-moi,” she called aloud as she got closer. She was close enough to see his face clearly, but not to touch him. He didn’t really look like he wanted someone near him but he was bleeding. She saw blood on his clothes and blood on the ground. ”…but, are you okay? Vous besoin d’adie? Do you need help?” she asked softly in a mixture of English and French. She shook her head. She needed to try to stick to one language. ”You’re hurt…sir.”
