Full Name: Tino Väinämöinen Gender: Male Age: 17 Height: 5”7 Weight: Depends on the season. Country of Origin: Finland Family: None Student Year/Job Position: Junior Appearance:

Personality: Tino is your everyday friendly guy. The type of person who puts their friends problems before their own and enjoys being useful in finding solutions! He prefers manual labour over studious environments. He has a rather wild nature in that sense, he just doesn't enjoy sitting still.
He has always been happy, but it was only with age that he began to really be cheerful. Kind of like a domestic and well-spoiled pet, who after years of being adopted just starts to think that everything and everyone is wonderful. But like any person, if Tino is wronged he doesn't easily forgive and he never forgets.
Likes:
Hockey: While Tino is actually quite active and ready to pay anything, he’s particularly fond of hockey. It’s a national past-time, and he plays it vigorously. In fact, he’s now the Captain of his local team, and they hold regional cup.
Christmas: Everything about this holiday makes Tino want to jump and down with joy. He loves everything about Christmas, the lights, the music, the presents the festivities the joy. Even though it’s a bit naïve, the Finn honestly believes that people are just generally better during Christmas time, himself included. For the last two years Tino has been dressing up like Santa and visiting one of Helsinki’s homeless shelters for families.
Food: One of the first thing everyone would notice about this little Finn is his big appetite. Tino knows that he’s a glutton and he just wishes he could keep the weight off, but like a bear come Christmas time and his appetite suddenly doubles. (Tino’s favourite Christmas treat are gingerbread cookies.)
Spas: Every year Tino would visit his father in Helsinki along with his mother together, ever since he was a little boy they normally visit all sorts of spas, the Finn who normally loves to just chatter away with anybody would terrify all the chattering tourist if they dare make a sound in the no talking zone. He takes his quiet time seriously.
Dislikes:
Being underestimated: when he was younger people were always protective of Tino, since he was always smaller than the other boys his age, but he was independent and strong and began to grow resentment towards people who thought he was weak, simply based on his appearance.
Staying in one place for too long: It's not enough for Tino to be working in a seat sort-of being productive, he needs to get up and Run around to actually feel it. He easily gets tired if he's stuck with the same four walls.
Arguing: Tino would rather bow out of a conversation completely before letting it get out of hand. He doesn't lie verbal confrontation and he doesn't like seeing it either. whenever his parents or friends would argue among themselves, Tino had no shame to just walk out of the room if all calming attempts failed.
Being told what to do: He dislikes bullies and people who think they have a right to tell him what he should and should not do, even in face of the law sometimes Tino likes to bend it, he has broken a couple of 'no entry zones' rules or just stayed out way past curfew because he felt like it. This is also the other reason why he probably doesn't like going to school, and why he took over as the Hockey teams captain so eagerly.
Strengths:
Motivation: Tino is energetic, and it boosts his skills to motivate and be motivated to do just about anything. He's a great worker who can easily find joy in even the most mundane of tasks and somehow he can petrsuade others to feel and sometimes even act the same.
Patience: . . .is a virtue the Finn drips with. He's willing to give just about anything all the time in the world, this quality of his pretty much the reason why Tino is great with kids.
Positive attitude: Nothing can get Tino down, his cheerful demeanor allows him to overcome just about anything. The glass is half full and you know what? There's enough in half a glass to share with everyone!
Physical activity: Tino is active, it shows in the way he holds himself, he loves to do all kinds of sports (hockey, being his favourite) and despite his small size, Tino can pack a punch. His physical strenght is on scale of absurdity.
Survival skills: Growing up in an indigeneous community, tino has learned quite a few tricks on how to survive in the wild. He can start a fire, find food and water and find shelter easily in almost any terrain.
Weaknesses:
Naïve: Tino tends to look for the best in people, he’ll easily believe anything that is said to him. He grew up in a small community where lies were mostly silly things children told their parents to stay out of trouble. Not to actually fool each other. But Tino isn’t stupid, if he realises he’s been manipulated in any bad way it would take a lot to regain his trust.
School: Tino is clever, but he doesn’t do well in studious environments. The only reason he ends up doing okay in his classes is that he normally took the books with him outside to read under the sun. In winter, his grades would drop. Honestly he just doesn’t really like school and studying.
Cute things: Children, puppies, kitties fall under this category. He just can’t help it. He loves adorable things. He especially loves giving them strange nicknames. Not that he thinks Bloody-Flower-Egg is a strange nickname. His love of cute things is why he doesn’t like it when people call him cute, because cute to him equals children or small baby animals, which he isn’t.
Fashion: Tino can dress himself in clothes. And that about as far as his dressing skills end. It could be the fact that the weather is so cold in the Laplands that you judge sweaters by warmth and not colour, but still sometimes it’s hard to look at the Finn with a straight face when he’s wearing the ugliest sweater you hope to never see again in your life.
Swimming: He can (barely) stay afloat, and he’s not afraid of water. Don’t expect anything more than a doggy paddle from him.
Fears: [Minimum of 3; Please add descriptions.]
Skyscrapers: They creep him out. Helsinki isn’t a very tall city, like most in Europe, but he once visited New York City and begged to be sent back home, since his flight was only a week away from that he was denied so the young Väinämöinen hid himself away in Central Park. (He made quite a few homeless friends, the people were very nice.)
Being manipulated: Tino is aware of how naive he could be, and sometimes he worries that he can be be manipulated in some way. The Finn would rather not have his actions somehow influenced by others with some ulterior intent.
Being rendered helpless: This is probably Tino's greatest fear, it doesn't matter in which way, but if he feels trapped or there's nothing he can do, just the thought of it makes him wince. He once knew someone who accidentally got stampede by the herd and was paralyzed waist down, and could barely do anything on his own anymore. Tino thought there could be no worse fate than that. Even death was more welcome in the young Finn's eyes.
History:
Tino grew up in the Laplands of Finland, herding reindeer with his mother and the Sami people. Growing up in the wild, at first made Tino a very shy and thoughtful boy, he rarely felt the need to speak. It wasn't until he was older that his mother's chattiness seemed to pass onto him.
Every Christmas he would spend with both of his parents in Finland's capital Helsinki. They would normally visit a sauna and do a bunch of volunteer work together. These were always his favourite times.
When Tino first started attending middle school, he joined a couple of clubs and excelled in all of them. His two best clubs were hockey and the shooting range club. He even started to win local championships for best shot. It started earning a bit of prestige, the Finnish military enrollment, approached him asking what he wanted to do with his life and the Finn was rather surprised at the question.
He had always pictured himself in the North, stalking the woods and herding reindeer. He hadn't even realise he could lead a life outside that, despite the fact that's what his father did- lead a life outside of the Laplands. Even the young Finn was plainly aware that, yes, he would be doing a year of service before settling down in that peaceful life in the woods...
This was the first time he ever questioned his place in society.
For a long while, Tino was wondering what he liked about himself and what there was out there for him to pursue. But everyday life seemed to just get in his way of these thoughts, the Finn always having been easily distracted…So Hockey went on, so did reindeer herding, the only chance he ever had to think about it was on his occasional walks through the woods. And even then, his thoughts would be full on the days events. He realised what he needed was a new dynamic and different environment. He has always heard that’s when people show their true colours. Maybe his would reveal themselves then.
“I need to leave this place.”
And it was around this time that he received a most particular invitation. A school in Port St-Helenia wanted to give him a full riding. At first, the Finn thought it was a joke, the timing was too perfect, it was in the same week in which he first thought about leaving that this mail arrived. But, it wasn’t a joke…he was seriously invited to stay in England.
He thought it over for a few days, but the urge to leave and to leave now was growing stronger by the minute. This was exactly what he wanted, he wondered, why on earth wouldn’t he just jump on the opportunity? And looking around his home, he realised just how dear all of it was to him. How much he would miss his mother’s cooking, and how much he would miss the feel of the forest beneath his feet.
But…The call of adventure and the unknown got to him. He accepted the invitation, with his mother and the rest of the community’s support, so many people saw him off that it took all of Tino’s strength not to cry. Despite the fact that his hockey’s team farewell song did leave him with tears from laughing so hard. But as he stepped on the plane the Junior year student couldn’t believe what he was feeling at that very moment, since he had never felt it before.
He had never been so excited to go to school.

Description:
A snow white reindeer, with a bear so long that it reaches its hooves. It was the beard that made Tino first thought of the legendary Väinämöinen a wise man of Finnish folklore, and the mammal seemed to respond to that name. Despite the fact that the god Väinämöinen was known for his magical voice, the reindeer doesn't utter a sound instead its eyes seemed to pierce through everything it casts its gaze upon. A sweet light shines off it's mane, much like a star. In battle, a sniper riffle appears in between its antlers, taking flight to fight preferring long ranged attacks.
